Appleton East softball tops Appleton West for first FVA win

APPLETON – The Appleton East softball team picked up its first Fox Valley Association win of the season with an 11-1 victory over Appleton West on Thursday at East High School.

Lydia Dahlman went 4-for-4 with a home run and three RBI, and Aubrie Erickson added three hits and scored twice for the Patriots, who are now 2-7 overall and 1-7 in the FVA.

Ali Raddatz scored the lone run for Appleton West (0-9, 0-7 FVA).

The two teams will play again Friday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.
