Kimberly slugs past Appleton East softball

APPLETON – Kimberly had 19 hits, including six for extra bases, and slugged past Appleton East 16-3 in a Fox Valley Association softball game Friday night at East High School.
The Papermakers (12-5, 7-3 FVA) used seven-run innings in the third and fifth innings to power to the victory.
Neveah Honick had a home run and three RBI, and Korni Kunst had three hits and drove in two to lead the Kimberly offense.
Grace Fecteau had a double and an RBI, and Reese Reichelt had two of East’s five hits in the loss as it drops to 3-10 and 2-10 in the FVA.
Appleton East will play two games at the Ashwaubenon Invitational on Saturday.
