MENASHA – De Pere scored 12 unanswered runs over the first four innings and defeated the Appleton Doubledays 12-5 in American Legion baseball action Wednesday at Koslo Park.
The game was called due to rain with the Doubledays batting with two outs in the bottom of the sixth.
The Doubledays (3-5) scored a run in the fourth on a wild pitch and plated four in the fifth thanks to two errors and an RBI single by Oscar Crownhart, but the gap was too big to close.
Gavin Zimmerman had a double and three RBI to pace De Pere (10-3).
