Appleton Doubledays Legion baseball blanks Oshkosh

MENASHA – Cade Prestigiacomo tossed a five-inning complete game shutout as the Appleton Doubledays blasted Oshkosh 10-0 in American Legion baseball action Thursday night at Koslo Park.
The win is the sixth in a row for the Doubledays, who are now 11-2 this summer.
Appleton pulled away with a six-run fourth inning and ended the game in the fifth due to the 10-run rule when Mason Winkler had an RBI single and scored on a double steal.
Mason Winkler, Ethan Winkler and Brandon Tobak each had two hits in the win.
Prestigiacomo scattered four hits and struck out seven for Appleton.
The Doubledays’ next game is Monday at Little Chute.
