Appleton East boys soccer knocks off Stevens Point

APPLETON – Appleton East grabbed a quick two-goal lead in the first half and made it hold up as it defeated Stevens Point 5-2 in a nonconference boys soccer game Thursday night at Pickett Field.
A Stevens Point own goal and a score from Rama Ramadhani gave the Patriots a 2-0 lead that held until halftime.
Appleton East (3-2-3) was able to withstand two goals from Stevens Point as Levi Boegh, Anthony Jordan Jr. and Christoper Perez Diaz knocked in goals for the Patriots as they extended their lead.
Jack Benz made five saves in goal for Appleton East.
The Patriots’ next game is Tuesday at home against Fond du Lac. Game time is 7 p.m.
