Appleton East boys soccer shuts out Xavier

APPLETON – Appleton East scored a pair of goals in the first half and made it hold up as it defeated Xavier 2-0 in a nonconference boys soccer game Thursday at Xavier High School.

Lungwe Ramadhani and Yohana Bikyeombe had goals for the Patriots.

Goalkeeper Jack Benz made four saves in goal for Appleton East (1-1).

Appleton East will open its Fox Valley Association schedule at home against Kaukauna on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Pickett Field.

Xavier (0-2) is back in action at home Tuesday against Kiel for another nonconference match.
