Appleton East football pulls out close win over Hortonville

HORTONVILLE – The Appleton East football team evened its record at 2-2 with a hard-fought 15-12 win over Hortonville in a Fox Valley Association game Friday night at Hortonville High School.
Alex Thompson had a 42-yard rushing touchdown, Ayden Kruse plunged in from the 1 for another score, and Birk Kozlowicz had an interception for the Patriots, who are now 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the FVA.
Hortonville remains winless at 0-4 overall and 0-2 in the FVA.
Appleton East will play at Kimberly on Friday, Sept. 19.
