Appleton East girls basketball loses to hot-shooting Hortonville

APPLETON – Hortonville drilled 10 3-pointers and sent the Appleton East girls basketball team to its second-straight loss with a 63-44 win Friday night at East High School.
Kardyn Peppler scored 20 points and Morgan Mocadio hit four 3-pointers and added 12 for the surging Polar Bears, who are 6-2 in their last eight games and improve to 12-7 overall and 10-4 in the Fox Valley Association.
Ella Sweeney had 12 points and Ambria Fischer 11 in the loss for Appleton East, which have after winning 15 games in a row as now lost its last two, falling to 15-3 and 11-2 in the conference.
The Patriots’ next game is Tuesday at Oshkosh North.
