Appleton East’s Lutes wins medalist honors, Kimberly takes team title at FVA Boys Golf Tournament

APPLETON – Appleton East senior Owen Lutes shot a 2-under par 70 to win the conference title at the 2025 Fox Valley Association Boys Golf Tournament on Friday at Chaska Golf Course.

Lutes won the title by two shots over Kimberly’s Tyler Steeno, and finished three in front of Neenah’s Cartyr Simonson and Kaukauna’s Bax Benson.

Kimberly earned the team title with a score of 312 as Drew Grant and Brody Best both shot 79 to tie for ninth and join Steeno in the top 10.

Appleton West’s Graham Goldschmidt and Austin Arizola finished in a three-way tie for 16th with 80s, and Jonathan Huenink led Appleton North with an 81 to tie for 19th.

Fond du Lac, last year’s FVA champion, and Neenah tied for second with 319s, with Appleton East fifth (323), Appleton West sixth (325) and Appleton North 10th (334).

Appleton East will compete at a WIAA Division 1 regional at Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, while Appleton West and Appleton North will be at a D-1 regional at Ledgeview Golf Course in De Pere on Tuesday.
