Appleton North baseball earns walk-off win over Hortonville

APPLETON – Colin Reddy singled to score Gus Rieckman with the game’s only run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Appleton North baseball team downed Hortonville 1-0 in a Fox Valley Association game Friday at North High School.

Cash Christianson allowed two hits over six innings and Jack Kangas tossed three hitless frames to earn the win and complete the shutout for the Lightning, who improve to 14-6 overall and 11-5 in the FVA.

Brennan Otto and Reddy each had two hits for Appleton North.

Appleton North will host Neenah on Tuesday.
