Appleton North baseball pounds Oshkosh North

OSHKOSH – Levi Watts had a single, a double and a triple, and drove in a pair of runs to help lead the Appleton North baseball team to an 11-1 win over Oshkosh North on Friday at E.J. Schneider Field.
The Lightning busted the game open with an eight-run third inning and won in six innings due to the 10-run rule, improving to 11-6 overall and 8-5 in the Fox Valley Association.
Cash Christianson allowed one run over five innings to earn the pitching win for Appleton North, striking out five without a walk.
Thomas Carew and Teegan Karpinske each had two hits and three RBI as well for the Lightning.
Appleton North’s next game is Monday at Neenah.
