Appleton North boys basketball falls short at Kimberly

KIMBERLY – The Appleton North boys basketball team had its four-game winning streak snapped with an 81-70 loss to Kimberly on Friday at Kimberly High School.
Landen Van Offeren finished with 31 points and 18 rebounds to lead the Papermakers (9-9, 7-7 Fox Valley Association).
Kimberly pulled out to a 37-22 by halftime and were able to hold off North in the second half despite the Lightning putting up 48 points.
Grant Hardy led Appleton North (13-5, 10-4 FVA) with 23 points and Will Sweeney added 17 points in the loss.
Appleton North will host Fond du Lac, the FVA co-leader, on Tuesday.
