Appleton North boys basketball snags road win at Kimberly

KIMBERLY – The Appleton North boys basketball team ran its winning streak to 11 in a row with a 67-55 win over Kimberly on Tuesday night at Kimberly High School.
Nathan Ramus scored 21 points, and Will Sweeney, Grant Hardy and Ethan Arft all chipped in 13 for the Lightning, who are now 16-2 overall and 12-1 in the Fox Valley Association, remaining in a tie for the conference lead with Kaukauna.
The Lightning used a strong defensive performance in the first half to open up a 28-19 lead by halftime and were able to hold on the rest of the way to grab the road victory..
Kegan Pleau led Kimberly (9-8, 8-4 FVA) with 15 points.
Appleton North hits the road again on Friday as it travels to Hortonville for another FVA contest as part of a boys-girls doubleheader. The boys game begins at 6 p.m. with the girls contest to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
