Appleton North boys golf defeats Oshkosh North for first FVA win

APPLETON – Griffin Schroeder shot a season-best 37 to finish in a tie for first and lead the Appleton North boys golf team to its first Fox Valley Association win of the season as the Lightning beat Oshkosh North 154-166 on Monday at Reid Golf Course.

Schroeder and Oshkosh North’s Owen Weber tied for first with 37s, one shot better than Appleton North teammates Jonathan Huenink and Gordy Cole.

Daniel Garrigan shot a 41 and Charlie Olson had a 43 to round out Appleton North’s scoring.

Appleton North will play at Hortonville at Grand View Golf Course on Tuesday for another FVA dual.
