Appleton North girls basketball drops FVA game at Kimberly

KIMBERLY – Kimberly jumped out to a commanding lead in the first half and went on to defeat Appleton North 75-48 in a Fox Valley Associaton girls basketball game Friday night at Kimberly High School.
The Papermakers led 38-22 at halftime and outscored North by 11 in the second half to finish off the big win and improve to 6-3 overall and 5-1 in the FVA.
Avery Werfal scored 17 points and Ava Koleske had 13 for the Lightning, who fall to 7-2 and 3-2 in conference play.
Haylie Dulas led Kimberly with 22 points.
Appleton North will host Hortonville for an FVA game Tuesday.
