Appleton North girls basketball picks up road win at Appleton West

APPLETON – Three Appleton North players scored in double figures as the Lightning defeated Appleton West 77-55 in a Fox Valley Association girls basketball game Thursday at West High School.
Avery Werfal scored 21 points, Tay Maass added 19 points and eight rebounds, and Brooke Schuh chipped in 13 points with three 3-pointers in the win for Appleton North, which improves to 10-5 overall and 6-5 in the FVA.
Appleton West drops to 1-16 and 0-11 in the FVA. Statistics for the Terrors were not reported.
Both teams are back in action Tuesday for FVA games as West hosts Neenah and North travels to Oshkosh West.
