Appleton North softball cruises to road win at Oshkosh North

OSHKOSH – The Appleton North softball team put up four-straight two-run innings and went on to defeat Oshkosh North 9-2 in a Fox Valley Association game Monday at Oshkosh North High School.
Alyssa Wald had two hits and knocked in two runs, and Sophia Wald and Charlotte Radke both had a single, a double and an RBI for the Lightning, who are now 9-10 overall and 7-6 in the FVA.
Radtke earned the pitching win, allowing no runs over 6 2/3 innings with seven strikeouts.
Appleton North will host Hortonville on Tuesday.
