Appleton North track teams each finish first at home FVA triangular

APPLETON – Both Appleton North teams finished first at a home Fox Valley Association track & field triangular on Tuesday against Appleton West and Fond du Lac.
Ashley Parrish won three events to lead the Appleton North girls. She finished first in the 100 meters in 12.16 seconds, the 200 in 25.85, and the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 4¼ inches.
Isabel Parris also picked up a pair of wins for the Lightning, taking first in the 100 hurdles (15.12) and the 300 hurdles (48.71).
All four of Appleton North’s relay teams were victorious as were Ava Helmbrecht in the 400 (1:01.16), Eva Busch in the 800 (2:22.02), Sophia Scherwinski in the 1,600 (5:28.63), Paige Hauser in the shot put (30-7), Bella Tabbert in the high jump (4-10) and Allison Schinke in the triple jump (34-4.75).
Earning victories for the Appleton North boys were Teddy Koelling in the 400 (51.78), Jacob McGinn in the 3,200 (11:00.91), Bobby Salm in the 300 hurdles (42.48), Adrion Rogers in the high jump (6-0), Aaden Gorenc in the long jump (19-5.5) and Trey Fox in the triple jump (40-10).
The Appleton West boys picked up two victories as the 1,600 relay team of Jeryl Munes, Kaden Beyersdorf, Lucas Doller and Aidan Heller won in 4:00.90, and Maxwel Hein was first in the 800 in 2:11.59.
