Appleton North’s Huenink, Garrigan team to place fifth at Preble Best Ball boys golf tournament

NEW FRANKEN – Appleton North’s team of Jonathan Huenink and Daniel Garrigan had a score of 77 to tie for fifth at the Jay Hill Memorial Boys Golf Best Ball Invite on Saturday at Royal Scot Golf Course. The tournament was hosted by Green Bay Preble.
Huenink shot a 79 on his own, placing fifth individually, and Garrigan had a 92 as the duo combined for a best-ball score of 77.
Appleton North’s other team of Griffin Schroeder (92) and Charlie Olson (96) had a best-ball score of 83 to tie for 13th among the 24 two-man teams.
Seymour’s Vince Sigl (68) and Tristan Drath (88) had a best-ball score of 67 to win the team title by seven strokes over a squad from Port Washington.
Appleton North will compete at the rescheduled Metro Invitational at High Cliff Golf Course in Sherwood on Monday beginning at 9 a.m.
