Appleton Post 38 Legion baseball drops doubleheader at Escanaba

ESCANABA, Mich. – The Appleton Post 38 Legion baseball team dropped both ends of a doubleheader at Escanaba on Sunday, losing to the Cubs 3-2 and 6-1.

Appleton (1-2) was held to just three hits in the opener and five in the second game.

Logan Gross knocked in a run in Game 1, and Michael Gwizadon had a single and an RBI in the second game for Appleton’s lone run.

Appleton Post 38 will play at Neenah on Wednesday and Oshkosh on Friday.
