Appleton United boys hockey drops nonconference game to De Pere

APPLETON – A four-goal second period pushed De Pere to a 7-2 win over Appleton United in a nonconference boys hockey game Tuesday night at the Appleton Family Ice Center.
De Pere (2-0-1) jumped out to a 3-0 lead before Appleton tightened up the game with goals from Obsa Duehring and Henry Heathman in a stretch of 2½ minutes.
The Voyageurs responded with four unanswered goals to pull away.
Appleton United (1-1) will play a nonconference game at Stevens Point Pacelli on Thursday.
