Appleton West baseball picks up road win at Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC – Three Appleton West pitchers combined on a two-hitter as the Terrors defeated Fond du Lac 5-2 in a Fox Valley Association baseball game Tuesday at Fond du Lac High School.

Michael Gwiazdon struck out four over four innings, before giving way to Kellin Gilbert, who tossed two innings and earned the pitching win. Loren Georger picked up the save, striking out the side in a scoreless seventh as West improves to 6-15 overall and 5-11 in the FVA.

Georger had a pair of RBI and three of West’s nine hits. Dimitry Edmunds scored twice as well for the Terrors.

Appleton West hosts Oshkosh West on Thursday.
