Bleck beats the buzzer to give Xavier boys basketball one-point win over Shawano

SHAWANO – Xavier’s Kyler Bleck made a layup with 1 second to go to lift the Hawks to a come-from-behind 57-56 win over Shawano in a Bay Conference boys basketball game Tuesday at Shawano High School.
Xavier trailed by six at halftime and as much as 11 in the second half before rallying. Bleck’s game-winner was the only lead of the game for Xavier, which was playing without leading scorer Logan Ramczyk.
Bleck scored 19 of his game-high 29 points in the second half comeback for Xavier, which is now 13-6 overall and 8-3 in the Bay Conference.
Caden Schuler and Quinn Comerford each added 10 points in the win for Xavier.
Will Verkuilen made four of Shawano’s nine 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 23 points in the loss. Shawano is now 5-12 and 2-9 in the Bay.
Xavier is back in action Thursday with another conference game at New London.
