Brookfield stymies Fox Cities Stars boys hockey

APPLETON – Following an early goal by the Fox Cities Stars, Brookfield scored five unanswered goals and won 5-1 in a nonconference boys hockey game Tuesday night at the Community First Champion Center.

Cale Adamovich scored just 23 seconds into the game for Fox Cites, but that would be it as Brookfield (13-6) goalie Brady Ferrell saved 26 shots and shut out the Stars the rest of the way.

Elliot Reichenbacher made 32 saves for Fox Cities (16-3), which has now lost two in a row after posting a eight-game winning streak.

Fox Cities plays another nonconference game at Manitowoc on Friday.
