Fond du Lac hits four homers, shuts out Appleton West softball

APPLETON – Fond du Lac smacked four home runs, including two by Lillian Birschbach, and defeated Appleton West 12-0 in a Fox Valley Association softball game Tuesday at the Nienhaus Sports Complex.

Birschbach finished with six RBI, and Reghan Ziegler and Susan Vokes also hit homers for Fond du Lac (10-4, 6-2 FVA), which put up multiple runs in four different innings.

Appleton West was held to one hit, that a single a by Emma Schuchart, as the Terrors drop to 1-8 overall and 0-8 in the FVA.

Appleton West will play at Oshkosh West on Thursday.
