Fox Cities Stars boys hockey blasts Waupaca in season opener

APPLETON – Cale Adamovich had a hat trick and assisted on three other goals as the Fox Cities Stars boys hockey team opened its season with an 8-1 rout of Waupaca on Saturday at the Community First Champion Center.
Andrew Ostermann added a goal and three assists, and Blayke Adamovich, Camden Collins, Kellan Murphy and Xander Herron also scored for the Stars.
Fox Cities goalie Elliot Reichenbacher added 23 saves in goal to pick up the victory.
The Stars are back in action at home Tuesday against Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs for a Badgerland Conference game beginning at 7:30 p.m.
