Fox Cities Stars boys hockey shuts out Wisconsin Rapids

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Fox Cities Stars boys hockey team won its fifth game in a row, blanking Wisconsin Rapids 6-0 in a nonconference game Saturday at the South Wood County Recreation Center.
The Stars (13-1) poured on four goals in the final nine minutes of the opening period and dominated in the win.
Elliot Reichenbacher made 13 saves in goal for Fox Cities, which outshot Wisconsin Rapids (4-8) 51-13.
Andrew Ostermann scored twice, and Asher Buck, Xander Herron, Parker Janssen and Weston Beyer added goals for the Stars.
Fox Cities will host Oshkosh for a Badgerland Conference game on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Community First Champion Center.
