Fox Valley Lutheran, Appleton East boys soccer teams play to draw

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran and Appleton East boys soccer teams played to a 1-1 draw in a nonconference game Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

JJ Minzlaff scored off an assist from Cameron Williams with 3:57 to go in the first half to give FVL (11-3-2) a 1-0 lead.

Appleton East (4-4-5) retaliated with a goal 2:02 into the second half to tie the game and neither team scored the rest of the way.

Keaton Enter saved two shots in goal for Fox Valley Lutheran.

Fox Valley Lutheran will play at New London in its Bay Conference finale on Friday at 6:30 p.m. With a win, the Foxes would share the Bay Conference title.

Appleton East’s next game is Saturday at West De Pere. Game time is noon.
