Fox Valley Lutheran baseball uses seven-run third to down Luxemburg-Casco

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran baseball team scored all seven of its runs in the third inning and made it hold up, downing Luxemburg-Casco 7-3 in a North Eastern Conference game Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
Lincoln Thede and Luke Heimerl each drove in a pair of runs with a hit in the third as the Foxes (11-6, 7-4 North Eastern Conference) erased a three-run deficit.
James Heimerl earned the pitching win for FVL, striking out five over five innings. Jack Schlueter tossed a pair of shutout innings to finish off the victory.
Thede finished with three hits as the Foxes tallied 13 in all.
Fox Valley Lutheran is off until Tuesday when it plays at Clintonville.
