Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball dominates second half to defeat West Salem

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball team overcame an 11-point halftime deficit and defeated West Salem 75-66 in a nonconference game Saturday afternoon at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
The Foxes trailed 47-36 at halftime before locking in defensively in the second half, outscoring West Salem by 20 points while holding them to just 19 to pull out the win.
Caleb Dahlke hit five 3-pointers, was eight of 11 at the free throw line, and scored a game-high 27 points for the Foxes, who are now 10-5 this season.
Gabe Heiges added 22 points, going 8-for-10 on free throws, as FVL finished 23-for-31 overall while West Salem (11-2) was just 11-for-20.
Fox Valley Lutheran hosts Shawano for a Bay Conference game Thursday at 7 p.m.
