Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball stays undefeated in Bay Conference with victory at Winneconne

WINNECONNE – Fox Valley Lutheran came out hot, scoring 52 points in the first half to open up a big lead and cruised to an 81-68 win over Winneconne in a Bay Conference boys basketball game Tuesday night at Winneconne High School.

The Foxes led 52-34 at halftime and were able to fight off Winneconne’s free throw shooting to earn the double-digit win and remain unbeaten in the Bay Conference.

Winneconne (6-4, 2-2 Bay) was 23-for-29 from the free throw line, with Brody Schaeffer going 11-for-12 and scoring a game-high 24 points.

Caleb Dahlke had 19 points, Gabe Heiges and Braden Heiges each added 16 points, and Cael Loberger scored 10 for FVL (7-3, 5-0 Bay).

Tuesday’s win sets up a showdown for the Foxes at Seymour (9-0, 5-0 Bay Conference) on Friday for sole possession of first place in the Bay Conference.
