Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball thumps Shawano

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball team rolled out to a big lead by halftime and defeated Shawano 82-42 in a Bay Conference game Thursday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The Foxes led 39-18 at halftime and continued to pour it on, outscoring Shawano by 19 in the second half to finish off their third-straight victory.

Caleb Dahlke hit four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 20 points for FVL, which is now 11-5 overall and 8-2 in the Bay Conference, which is good enough for second place in the standings.

Gabe Heiges added 12 points and Wyatt Schlueter had nine as 10 different Foxes scored in the victory.

Jackson Nordin led Shawano (4-10, 2-7 Bay) with eight points.

Fox Valley Lutheran will play a nonconference game at Lakeside Lutheran (11-3) in Lake Mills on Saturday at 3 p.m.
