Fox Valley Lutheran boys soccer blanks Marinette in season opener

APPLETON – Cameron Williams had a hat trick to lead the Fox Valley Lutheran boys soccer team to a 4-0 nonconference win over Marinette it its 2025 season opener Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
Williams scored the only goal of the first half 6:16 into the game to give the Foxes a quick 1-0 lead.
That advantage held until 16:02 into the second half when Williams connected again. After a goal by Ezra Schaser in the 73rd minute, Williams finished off the hat trick with a goal with 4:57 remaining in the game.
Schaser had two assists and J.J. Minzlaff added another in the win for FVL.
Justin Miller made four saves in goal for the Foxes
Fox Valley Lutheran will play again Friday, hosting Shoreland Lutheran at 4:30 p.m.
