Fox Valley Lutheran football blasts Denmark

DENMARK – Fox Valley Lutheran’s Gabe Heiges threw four touchdown passes and had an interception on defense as the Foxes rolled to a 35-0 win over Denmark in a nonconference football game Friday night at Denmark High School.

After Blessings Kapande opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, Gabe Heiges threw touchdown passes of 4 and 10 yards to Amani Dahlke, and a 63-yard strike to Jacoby Dobberstein to give Fox Valley Lutheran (2-0) a 28-0 halftime lead.

Gabe Heiges connected with Braden Heiges for a 17-yard touchdown in the third quarter to start a running clock and finish off the scoring for the game.

Kapande had 141 yards on the ground and Heiges threw for 158 yards for FVL.

Fox Valley Lutheran will open its Bay Conference schedule at crosstown rival Xavier next Friday, Sept. 5, for the annual Apple Bowl.
