Fox Valley Lutheran football pulls away in second half to defeat Two Rivers

TWO RIVERS – The Fox Valley Lutheran football team shut out Two Rivers over the final three quarters and pulled away for a 26-14 win in a nonconference game to open the 2025 season on Friday night at Two Rivers High School.

Gabe Heiges threw touchdown passes of 4 yards to Riley Lindell and 42 yards to Jacoby Dobberstein in the first quarter to help the Foxes stay even with Two Rivers at 14-14.

From there, the FVL defense didn’t allow another score and the offense did just enough to snatch the victory.

Heiges had an 11-yard touchdown run in the third quarter and threw his third TD pass of the game in fourth, going to Lindell again for an 8-yard score, to provide the winning margin.

Heiges finished 11-for-21 for 114 yards, with Dobberstein and Lindell each hauling in five passes.

Fox Valley Lutheran will play its home opener, and final nonconference game, next Friday, Aug. 29, against Denmark.
