Fox Valley Lutheran football slams Waupaca

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran football team continued its hot start to the 2025 season, scoring six first-half touchdowns in a 45-9 rout of Waupaca in a Bay Conference game Friday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

FVL quarterback Gabe Heiges ran 58 yards for a score in the first quarter to start the onslaught, which ended with the Foxes holding a 42-3 lead at halftime.

Heiges tossed a pair of touchdown passes to Jacoby Dobberstein, Blessings Kapande had 131 yards rushing and two touchdowns, and Ian Holmes returned a punt 74 yards for another score for the Foxes.

Overall, FVL outgained Waupaca 394-129, as it improves to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the Bay Conference. Waupaca remains winless at 0-4 and 0-2 in the Bay.

Fox Valley Lutheran’s next game is Friday, Sept. 19, at Freedom.
