Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball goes 2-3 at Lutheran Invite in Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE – The Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball team finished 2-3 to take fourth place at the annual Lutheran Invitational on Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
The Foxes lost to Divine Savior Academy of Florida 25-12, 25-17, Manitowoc Lutheran 23-25, 25-21, 15-12, and Watertown Luther Prep 25-27, 25-18, 16-14, while posting wins over Winnebago Lutheran 25-13, 24-26, 15-7, and Onalaska Luther 25-21, 25-15.
Alaina Patchett had 37 kills, Brianna Stewart added 29 kills and four blocks, Ellie Hayes chipped in 26 kills, and Emily Matthias had eight service aces in the Foxes’ five matches.
Riley Schmitz finished with 65 digs and seven aces, and Kenzie Loberger had a team-high 65 assists and 36 digs as well for FVL.
Fox Valley Lutheran will host Winneconne for a Bay Conference match on Tuesday at 7 p.m. FVL is 4-0 and Winneconne is 3-0 in the Bay standings.
