Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball rallies to top Xavier, remains unbeaten in Bay Conference

APPLETON – Ellie Hayes had a team-high 15 kills to lead the Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball team to a hard-fought 3-1 win over crosstown rival Xavier in a Bay Conference match Thursday night at Xavier High School.
The Foxes won 16-25, 25-18, 25-21, 25-11, and remain undefeated in the Bay Conference at 6-0, while Xavier drops to 3-2.
Alaina Patchett added 12 kills and four blocks, Kenzie Loberger had 20 assists, and Riley Schmitz had 12 digs and six aces for FVL. Caily Groth also added four blocks in the win.
Braelee Kiepert had nine kills, Lexi Allen and Bella Daley each had seven kills, and Sydney Neilitz had 27 assists and four blocks for the Hawks. Grace Hackl had a team-high 12 digs for Xavier.
Xavier won both the JV1 and JV2 matches 2-1.
Xavier is back in action Tuesday for a Bay Conference match at Green Bay East.
Fox Valley Lutheran is off until next Thursday, Oct. 9, when it travels to Oconto Falls for a nonconference match.
