Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball splits four matches at Kettle Moraine tournament

WALES – The Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball team split four matches at the Laser Invitational at Kettle Moraine High School on Saturday.

In pool play the Foxes defeated Elkhorn 25-15, 25-19, and Kettle Moraine 25-11, 25-14, before suffering a 26-24, 27-25 loss to Madison Memorial.

In the Gold Division bracket play, FVL fell to No. 1 seed Oak Creek 27-25, 26-24 in a tight match.

Ellie Hayes had 20 kills, Alaina Patchett added 16 kills, and Riley Schmitz had 47 digs and 12 service aces for the Foxes.

Kenzie Loberger added 32 assists, 19 digs and 11 kills, and Brianna Stewart had nine kills and six blocks as well for Fox Valley Lutheran.

FVL returns to Bay Conference play Tuesday with a home match against Seymour. Game time is 7 p.m.
