Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball sweeps Bay Port in home opener

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball team swept Bay Port in its home opener Thursday night at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

FVL won 25-23, 25-16, 25-21, behind 12 kills from Alaina Patchett.

Kenzie Loberger had 21 assists and 14 digs, Riley Schmitz had a team-best 29 digs, and Amara Jahner had six aces for the Foxes. Schmitz surpassed the 1,000 dig mark for her career in the win.

Brianna Stewart added six kills and Brianna Dahlke had four kills, with each adding three blocks for FVL.

Fox Valley Lutheran will have a week off before traveling to New London for its Bay Conference opener on Thursday, Sept. 11.
