Fox Valley Lutheran goes undefeated to win home girls volleyball tournament

MILWAUKEE – The Fox Valley Lutheran girls volleyball team swept five matches to win its home Fox Valley Lutheran Invitational on Saturday.

In pool play, FVL defeated Green Bay Southwest 25-7, 25-8; Waupaca 25-20, 25-21; and Weyauwega-Frempont 25-14, 25-23.

The Foxes went on to defeat Wrightstown in the semifinals 25-17, 26-24, and beat Sheboygan Christian 25-18, 25-12, in the championship match.

Brianna Stewart had 22 kills and seven blocks, Alaina Patchett had 20 kills, and Brianna Dahlke finished with 19 kills and four blocks in the Foxes’ five matches.

Riley Schmitz had a team-best 34 digs and 11 service aces, and Kenzie Loberger had 44 assists, 31 digs and 13 kills in a solid all-around day for FVL.

Fox Valley Lutheran will play a Bay Conference match at Shawano on Tuesday.
