Fox Valley Lutheran rips New Holstein in WIAA Division 3 boys soccer regional semifinal

APPLETON – Fox Valley Lutheran bombarded New Holstein with 30 shots and connected on five in a 5-1 win in a WIAA Division 3 boys soccer regional semifinal Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.
No. 2 seed Fox Valley Lutheran (14-4-3) will host No. 10 Luxemburg-Casco (6-9-2) in a D-2 regional final Saturday afternoon. L-C upset No. 7 Marinette in a shootout on Thursday.
Cameron Williams scored off an assist from Ian Luehring just 4:21 into the game and the Foxes never looked back.
Ezra Schaser scored twice before halftime, and Ausitn Zanto and Jackson Dedow added goals in a span of 2:16 midway through the second half as FVL rolled.
New Holstein’s only goal came with 7:52 remaining in the game. The Huskies finish the season with a 6-13-2 record.
Justin Miller finished with seven saves in goal for the Foxes.
