Fox Valley Lutheran softball keeps perfect record intact with home win over Little Chute

APPLETON – After matching five-run innings early, the Fox Valley Lutheran softball team scored five unanswered runs and pushed past Little Chute 10-5 in a North Eastern Conference matchup Thursday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

After FVL scored five times in the first inning, Little Chute tied it with a five-run second. However, that would be all the Mustangs (2-11, 2-11 NEC) would score as pitchers Paige Leavitt and Brianna Dahlke threw up zeroes the rest of the way for the Foxes.

Fox Valley Lutheran (13-0, 12-0 NEC) was able to pull through with single tallies in the second and third innings, two more in the fifth and another in the sixth.

Olivia Fischer had three hits, scored twice and drove in two runs, and Natalie Bromm and Lexi Hanson each had two RBI as well for the Foxes.

FVL will play a North Eastern Conference doubleheader at Marinette on Friday beginning at 4 p.m.
