Fox Valley Lutheran softball shuts out Marinette in WIAA D-2 regional semifinal

APPLETON – The Fox Valley Lutheran softball team remains undefeated after a dominating 9-0 win over Marinette in a WIAA Division 2 regional semifinal Tuesday at Fox Valley Lutheran High School.

The Foxes scored five runs over the first two innings, which was more than enough for pitcher Madison Babcock.

Babcock struck out 15, did not walk a batter and scattered four singles in a complete-game effort for the Foxes, who are now 25-0 this season. She also had two hits, scored three times and drove in three.

Natalie Bromm added three hits and her and Lexie Hanson scored twice in the win.

Fox Valley Lutheran will host Seymour (16-6) in a Division 2 regional final Thursday.
