Freedom comes back in second half to down Fox Valley Lutheran boys basketball

FREEDOM – Freedom overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to defeat Fox Valley Lutheran 60-56 in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday night at Freedom High School to open the season for both teams.

Owen Henkel scored all 14 of his points and Donovan Davis had nine of his game-high 25 points in the second-half comeback for Freedom.

Caleb Dahlke scored 15 points and Gabe Heiges added 10 for Fox Valley Lutheran. The Foxes had nine different players score in their opener.

Fox Valley Lutheran is back in action Saturday with a nonconference game at McFarland.
