FVL finishes second, Xavier third at final Bay Conference South girls golf meet

NEENAH – Fox Valley Lutheran finished second and Xavier third at the fifth and final Bay Conference South girls golf meet of the season on Monday at Ridgeway Country Club.
Winneconne won the team title with a 200, with FVL second with a 211 and Xavier third with a 229.
Winneconne’s Mia Rust won medalist honors with a 46, one shot better than teammate Jada Kaiser and St. Mary Catholic’s Olivia Nagel. Elliot Kriewaldt placed fourht for Fox Valley Lutheran with a 51.
Grace Sauer added a 53, Lucy Engelbrecht shot 55 and Lily Kari had a 58 as well for the Foxes.
Gabby Wasco had a 52 and tied for fifth with Hermann to top Xavier. Hailey Hafner had a 57, Kayla Standish shot 59 and Faye Hehli had a 61 to round out the Hawks’ scoring.
Fox Valley Lutheran will compete at the Clintonville Invitational at Riverside Golf Course on Thursday.
The overall Bay Conference Tournament will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Wander Springs Golf Course in Greenleaf.
