Hot start pushes Appleton North boys basketball past Appleton West

APPLETON – Grant Hardy poured in 25 points to lead the Appleton North boys basketball team to a resounding 86-33 win over Appleton West in a Fox Valley Association game Friday night at North High School.

The Lightning dominated from the opening tip, cruising out to a 54-18 lead by halftime, and improves to 2-0 overall and 1-0 in the FVA.

A total of 13 different players scored for Appleton North. Matthew Rosplochowski added 17 points and Will Sweeney chipped in 12 in the win.

Braylon Ise had 15 points for Appleton West (1-2, 0-2 FVA).

Appleton West’s next game is Monday at home against Green Bay Preble.

Appleton North will be back in action next Friday, Dec. 12, at Oshkosh West.
