Kaukauna storms back in second half to defeat Appleton North boys basketball

KAUKAUNA – Kaukauna outscored Appleton North by 15 points in the second half to pull away for a 66-56 win in a Fox Valley Association boys basketball game Tuesday at Kaukauna High School.
The Lightning led 33-28 at halftime but could not maintain their momentum as Kaukauna (19-3, 14-2 FVA) outscored them 38-23 over the final 18 minutes to keep pace with Fond du Lac atop the FVA standings.
Grant Hardy had 14 points and Abraham Tomori scored 13 points for Appleton North, which drops to 13-7 overall and 10-6 in the FVA as it lost its third game in a row.
Keegan Van Kauwenberg led four Kaukauna players in double figures with 14 points.
Appleton North hosts Appleton East on Thursday at 6 p.m.
