Kimberly outlasts Appleton East boys basketball

APPLETON – Kimberly outscored Appleton East by 10 points in the second half to pull away and defeat the Patriots 63-52 in a Fox Valley Association boys basketball game Tuesday at East High School.

Kimberly led by just one, 33-32, at halftime before holding East to 20 second-half points and pulling out the win.

Elijah Childs and Joshua Christianson each scored 12 points, and Tyler Seidl had three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points for the Patriots (1-15, 0-11 FVA).

Cayden Vosters had 19 points, Kegan Pleau added 17, and Alex Krause had a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds for Kimberly (9-6, 8-2 FVA).

Appleton East hosts Hortonville on Friday in search of its first conference win. The girls-boys doubleheader begins with the girls game at 6 p.m. and the boys to follow at approximately 7:45 p.m.
