Second-half surge pushes Xavier girls basketball past Waupun

WAUPUN – The Xavier girls basketball team put forth a dominant second half and pulled out a 60-43 nonconference win over Waupun on Monday night at Waupun High School.
The game was tied 26-26 at halftime before Xavier surged, doubling up Waupun 34-17 in the second half to earn its seventh-straight win.
Hailey Hafner scored 26 points and Brynn Krull added 20 for the Hawks (13-3), who made seven 3-pointers in the victory.
Addie Voight led Waupun (6-11) with 10 points.
Xavier is back in action Thursday at home against Madison Edgewood.
